Registered Dental Assistant
I love meeting new people and working with them to achieve a healthy smile. I’ve been part of the team since 2018. It’s a joy to work in a dental office where the focus is on each person’s situation. Dr. Bender takes her time with every patient, making sure they understand what we’re going to be doing and why. She also answers the patient’s questions and settles their mind. I assist Dr. Bender during procedures, sitting chairside to help her and support our patient. I also provide patient education, order supplies, and handle lab work.
I love seeing improvement in a patient’s oral health when they come for their recall. Having a healthy mouth and smile is so important. It affects a person’s overall health and how they feel about themselves, and I like helping improve both. I became part of the team in 2005 and have built great relationships with our patients. Their visits feel like spending time with old friends. I perform hygiene and periodontal maintenance, take X-rays, offer fluoride treatments, and place sealants. A lot of my time is spent educating people about their oral health and how they can keep it strong through healthy eating and good habits.
Outside the office, some of my favorite pastimes include reading, watching old movies, making quilts, arts and crafts projects, and baking.
